Kohler automatic residential generator systems provide dependable protection during unexpected power outages. Kohler has produced home standby generators, residential emergency generators, and back up power devices since the 1920s. Kohler generators provide clean power for sensitive home electronics; fast power to get you up and running; and reliable backup power to ensure your life goes on even when the utility power doesn't.

A standby home generator keeps your power on during an outage. When utility power is interrupted, the ATS signals the generator to start and then quickly transfers the electrical loads from the failed utility to the generator. When utility power is restored, the ATS transfers the electrical loads back to the utility and shuts down the generator. It's installed outside your house (like an AC unit) and comes on automatically — whether you're home or away. All within seconds of a power outage.

Plus home generators run on propane or natural gas, so there's no refueling.

Ratings are in accordance with ISO-3046/1, BS5514, AS2789 and DIN 6271. GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR DERATION: Altitude: Derate 4% per 305 m (1000 ft) elevation above 153 m (500 ft). Temperature: Derate 2% per 5.5˚C (10˚F) temperature increase above 16˚C (60˚F).
